As an owner and CEO of a management firm I understand from experience that our industry constantly keeps changing and growing simultaneously. The exciting dynamic overall brings increasing on-going challenges.
I have embraced the challenges and changes by recently restructuring my firm in order to meet the new demands of our industry, which we are all faced with. I strategically mixed some of the old proven processes and theories of our industry and our firm with a new and innovative approach. My philosophy, however, remains constant, “to keep it simple silly”. I believe the more convoluted one tries to spin concepts the muddier the water looks. Therefore, I instill in my staff the use of concepts vs. details. If they truly understand the concept, then the details automatically fall into place with a streamline affect.
I am selective with my choice of staff as well as with our clientele. My staff knows that my expectation is clear. “We treat the client in a professional reasonable fashion”. In return I have the same expectation that our clientele will treat my staff in the like kind. As a result we have been able to sustain longevity of staff for this industry and longevity with our clientele.
Since the firm was established in 1980 we have made a great deal of difference in the industry. It has never been important to me to be the biggest company in town. It is, however, extremely important to me that we are known for our professionalism, ethical business tactics, and quality service.
Our firm has experienced increasing success and has been able to maintain our reputation of professionalism thru our commitment to education and the effort towards excellence in the industry.
